We purchased this for a recent vacation. We travel fairly often and usually end up either carrying a separate camera bag and backpack for our misc items or tossing the camera unprotected in the backpack or a tote. After much research, we settled on this bag. It fit our DSLR, extra len, point and shoot camera, and small camcorder with room to spare in the top for a wallet, sunscreen, etc. We didn't take the laptop out with us sightseeing so we were able to use that compartment for travel books, tickets, and printed confirmations.

I was very pleased with the bag and it allowed us to take one bag and switch off carrying it. I'm looking forward to using it on many more vacations. We did loose the buckle for the strap that goes around your waist so I'd recommend keeping it fastened or taking it off if you aren't using it.
