I purchased this scanner on the basis of other reviews.
I had a bunch of slides laying around for years and years. I took them to a local stand alone photography store that sells nice equipment and does photo restorations to have them digitized. I paid .00 to have around sixty slides scanned. I took my new disc of the photos home and looked at it on my computer. After I viewed at about half of them, I took the disc out, broke it in half and threw it away. The quality was terrible.

I then searched Amazon for a slide scanner, saw the reviews on this one and ordered it.

Once I received the scanner, I opened it up, followed the installation instructions and then spent the next four hours scanning my slides. They came out like I had expected the pro camera shop to do them. The quality is so much better than the ones the "pros" did.
So then, I started scanning some negatives. They came out nice too.
Next, I started scanning old photos. Still have a bunch of those to do.
Where will it end? I've been scanning things for days now.
