The adapter works. It sometimes overheats, especially when the battery is being charged, but it does not get as hot as the original Dell adapter.
My only complaint is that the adapter easily gets loose/disconnected from the computer. The reason is that the adapter's shape is circular, while the hole/slot in the computer is that of an octagon. I understand that the reason for the circular shape is so that it can fit multiple different laptops/series, but this does make it very easy for the adapter cable to fall off, thus requiring me to keep the battery in the laptop at all time. The adapter is also larger than the original Dell adapter, with a slightly shorter cable.
