OtterBox Impact Case for Bold 9700 Review
Been using this for the last month and have to say I am impressed. After using the plain gel/silicone wrap skin I wanted something more shock absorbent and this fit the bill. The gel/silicone skins fit nicely in the holster carry that come standard with my 9700 but didn't work very well as a heavy duty carrier. I still use the gel cover to slide in the holster because the otter box will not fit in the leather carrying holster.
It adds a definite amount to the mass of the berry but in my case I have larger hands so this actually a plus. I am not worried about the phone squeezing out of my hands like a banana peel anymore. It's still feather-lite but the added tackiness of the case makes it slip resistant so I am not having to try and catch the phone from falling or sliding nearly as much. The case is a perfect fit and very secure too. All connectors are visible and the case is reliable.
Having already dropped my phone since adding this case I can say the otter box is doing it's job and keeping my berry safe! Now if they just made a carrying holster that the phone+otter box would fit into...
